Steel rear bumper

Yeah, their videos are great...especially when a female does the install.

I bought my HDX Steps from them and watched the video several times as well.

 

I've got that exact bumper and pissed how fast it started rusting. Not even 1 winter in and it started showing it's ugly face.

Matter of fact if you look closely over the BA (side), you can see it already starting on your pic.

Other than that, it's an awesome solid bumper

 

it’s pretty close to the body lines. It might be the angle of the pic. It wasn’t the cheapest option but it wasn’t close to the most expensive option.

Damn that sucks. I inspected it pretty close and I don’t see what you’re talking about. Also I live in Southern California so rust isn’t as big an issue here.

I haven't pulled the trigger on this...yet! But I better read the reviews and see if anyone experiences rusting.

 

I went out and looked again and I think he’s mistaken my finger marks on the bumper for rust. I didn’t wipe it down after the install. There’s some shoe prints on there too, I had to break it in. If you live in an area where there’s salt on the road then I’d be concerned with any steel bumper getting rusty.

 

Yeah....its not a bumper but a cosmetic item Toyota calls a bumper. It's sad how so much is just plastic. Your actual bumper looks great. I hope your neighbor learned a driving lesson.

Did you have to remove your trailer hitch in the process?

 

I like the economical price of the BA bumper. The Fab4s are quite pricey. Plus, I want a bumper where I can use the LED license plate lights placed in the same area. I'm still looking.

EDIT: Looks like this one has the cut-outs for the LED license plate lights.

 

I removed the hitch but probably didn’t have to. If you don’t have a hitch receiver, it comes with brackets so you can still mount it up
