Test Fitted on my E-locker Diff. I bought the calipers, rotors and pads from online store:
I will be updating the links and information on this thread. Any questions hit me up , PM me.
To convert your Toyota Tacoma rear drums to disc using O.E.M. 2010-14 Toyota FJ Cruiser rear components. New improved kit now retains the OEM parking brake cables
Also, comes with the additional parking brake internals parts.
    Rear Disc Backing Plate Kit
fits All 2015-22 Toyota Tacoma 6 Lug
Double Cab, Access Cab & Reg Cab
(My Tacoma is a 2003 and they drop right in as well.)

    image5.jpg
Keep in mind that it also fits the 4runners as well, the SOS performance rear disc brake conversion backplate kit with E-Brake option. https://sosperformance.com/products...dot-ta5-dot-bpk-fits-2005-2018-tacoma-six-lug
I am trying to see how to work out the E-Brake cables to the OEM equalizer bracket.

My question is: how do they fit your 2003 Tacoma when it appears that they are not made to do that? I have a 2001, and am interested, but they don't appear to fit.....still, if they work on your 2003.....?

it will fit from 1995 and Up, you can call SOS if you want to verify. But its the same REAR diff. Keep in mind there are a few things to remember, you need 2X of everything. 2 rotors 2 calipers 2brake hoses, 2 hardlines to connect the brake hoses to, 2 E-brake cables, it's not hard at all, just takes time and patience, I will post more pictures as well. but the kit fits our GEN 1 Tacomas.

So the emergency brake cable will use the disc setup?
And the Proportional valve is eliminated?

The valve does not get removed, where the old rubber hose was connected to the hardline is eliminated with a Stainless Steel Braided Hose line with a T for the hard lines going to the Caliper hoses.

And yes this kit uses the OEM FJ Cruiser E-Brake Cables that get connected to the E-Brake Equalizer Bracket under the Driver side seat, I will Post Pictures when they are attached.

These are the ones I bought ACDelco after market cables about $35 each side, I think the price went up and the part numbers are: 18P97051 and 18P97052

im curious how you get the cables to work out. i've got a 1st gen tundra setup (FJ parts.. same kit as yours but different for the cable side of things) on mine. havent dealt with the cables yet.

I love how the slip yoke is painted as well, so the first time the suspension fully compresses, the paint will either bind it up or immediately get scraped off.

SOS brakes. Cables they sent with kit are to long. I'm going to have them shortened. Little bit of grinding were they both will come through frame at original location to hook up to front cable.
    IMG_20220412_210645_1.jpg IMG_20220412_210654_1.jpg

pieces required to attach both cables to front cableIMG_20220411_194431_1.jpg

Passenger side cable will loop back over diff and run in original cable location between tank and frame.
