Back in HS, a bunch of us would climb stuff. Water towers, Drive in movie screens, more water towers…

Only got caught once when we threw rocks against a water tower before we climbed it - sounded like laser guns (this was during the original Star Wars trilogy era). The cop was cool, let us go with a warning after he found out one of us was a Sgt’s son. It was a good year or two

I used to roof and was a construction pee on.

Never had an issue until a couple of years ago when I attempted to paint the gable end of a carriage house on some staging with no back rail- the type hanging on the side and you crawl out a window onto it. It was about 20 feet but man did I have the jimmy legs.

Think I could’ve worked through it but figured I could help the local economy by hiring another guy to do it..

I would have fed the bear some .30/06, unlike my cousins who live 200 yards away who would leave ribs out for it.

I don't mind going up, any height, but if I'm not sure how to get back down, then it's a problem.

 

Starting the day with a good 4+ inches of snow on the ground -- and the power off...
The heat we can work around -- the well pump, not so much.

Ugg. We have windy, sleety rain at this point. The weather guessers predict 3-6 inches. Not gonna comment on the power - knock on wood
