What’s the best way to do a 2” lift? I want some extra height on my 05 TRD off-road dc. What size lift to run 33’s?

From what I read Bilstein 5100 with an AAL is the way to go. Don't know if you will need a new upper control arm.

Don’t believe that you will need new UCA’s for 2” at all

    What’s your budget?
Best = custom rear leaf springs by deaver, all around king shocks with front springs rating to your build.

cheapest (without using less than desirable choice of blocks/spacers)= add a leaf (will make the taco less comfortable than stock), bilsteins all around.

Cheapest way, 2” spacers for front coils
    2” AAL’s in back around 200.00-ish

    I would go with the 5100’s and a 2” block or AAL’s

"Best way"? How much $$$ ya got?

Lift doesn't give magical clearance for bigger tires. Period, end of story. You'll probably need to do a cab mount chop (sometimes abbreviated CMC or BMC here) or at very least massage/modify the inner fenders/plastics.

This is like the most common question that gets asked. Have a gander at the suspension sub-forum for all the answers you will ever need and then some:

I’ve been running 5100’s and 884’s for years and with 255/85/15 km2’s as that counts as 33’s sort of.

OP, all the info you need and more is available here if you search. Try google “tacomaworld xxxxx” for better results than the search function. Realistically, 99% of the results you are seeking are readily available as 99% of the lifts people are running are less than 3”. Anything above 3” is a drop bracket or spindle lift and those are outliers on this forum.

What height do you have your 5100s at? Im going trough 884s and 855s and I was told to go stock height on the 5100s to get a 1.5 lift.
im lifting my rear 2.5 and currently have stock springs, 5100 set in the middle.

Fox 2.0s up front. Already set to 2" lift and very affordable compared to others. AAL in the rear or Deavers but they are pricey.

I want to say Ironman had a 2" lift. Not familiar with it but a buddy had it and was happy with it

If you have the extra money I would avoid an AAL. I had one for a while but eventually upgraded to Dobinson leaf springs. They are a huge upgrade over the stock suspension. At the time they costed me about $500 but are well worth it. I have OME 884 springs up front but if I was going to buy the Dobinson leaf springs I would probably just go ahead and buy their springs for the front too. I am using Bilstein 5100 shocks. I have been happy with my setup.

Where should I order the bilstein 5100 and 884’s from with an aal. Is there a site with a package?

If you're lifting or leveling, make sure to read up on the ECGS needle bearing. I had to do it following 5100's on lowest setting and Eibach springs that provided 1.6" lift. UCA's are a great investment as well if lifting to take stress off the upper ball joint and provide better alignment. Are you going to do the work or have a shop do it?

I bought the ome lift with the coils and shocks should I be buying anything else for a 2.5” lift?
