I bought my 2006 STi six months out of college and owned it for nine years. During the winter of 2015 I really got the urge to get something with a removable roof and came across the perfect 300ZX Twin Turbo. I ultimately didn’t move them, but a year later the day I pulled the STi out of storage I decided to sell it to buy something silly and pay off my 2013 Tacoma.

The Tacoma was totaled a month later. I ended up with a 1999 Corvette which ticked the manual, removable roof boxes. I loved it for the first few years and still have it, but I really, really find myself missing my old STi now 6 years later. It doesn’t help that it’s owned by someone who’s driving it in winter and putting tons of miles on it.

I want another one whether it be an 02-07 sedan or 09-14 hatch (preferably 11-14). I don’t have the budget for an STi so a base model is fine by me.

Yea, I just turned Lloyd onto the wagon, which I'd drive like a bat outta hell!

I've always been a fan of wagons. My very first car was a 68' Fairlane wagon. When Dodge did the Magnum I almost got one. My last wagon, per-sey, was a 2010 Honda Crosstour 4WD.

So a spirited little STi equipped wagon would be very cool!

I currently have an STi swapped 01 2.5rs that is a shit load of fun, but I am thinking of selling and getting another outback XT. I just like the wagons better with kids and if I 6 speed swap it, its basically a wagon STi.

They are all world rally blue haha. Personally in my opinion it’s the best color, only made for one year on the GCs, Aspen White.

Thats basically what my car is now. Its still 5x100 with 04 sti hubs, brembos, driveshaft, rear diff and axles, motor, wirings harness and ecu. Only thing not from an 04 is the transmission thats an 05. I have hubs to convert to 5x114 but kinda lost interest since I replaced 3/4 wheel bearings during the swap.

I don’t really “want” to. It’s a combo of having two kids under 6 they can’t really safely ride in it, and the market for them is insane right now. If my kids were older I would keep and finish it.

Keep it if you can. In a few short years the kids are going to love going for rides in it.

    "GC" ?

It's just a iconic color combination. I saw one the other day.

    "Wiring merge" ? "DCCD" ?

Where the hell did I get STX?!

GC is the chassis code for the older JDM Imprezas (92-01), but we use it in the states too. The wiring merge is just that, they take the original Impreza interior wiring harness and merge it with an 04 sti harness. It basically makes it like the car came factory as a turbo model, everything on the interior stays the same and it’s all plug and play. DCCD is driver controlled center differential, it had a dial in the cab and it basically controls the lockup of the center differential. So the car has a front and rear lsd and “lockable” center diff.
