Snow, sleet and rain today and tomorrow. 80's this weekend.

 

Starting the day early with 4+ inches of heavy snow -- and no electricity (and no well pump)...

Good morning Pennsylvania. I got 2 termite jobs today. The first 1 should be fairly easy the 2nd one is a 7mil house on the water. That will take awhile.

2+ inches of wet snow so far and still going. This one is a tree branch buster. Power dropped off 4 times so far but has come right back on. Welcome to Spring in northeast PA.

Guess my buddy/Co worker didn't want to ride with me today lol. Text me this morning saying he will meet me at the job site.

At home, this weather is a killer on the electric bill. Just got notice for my next DLC bill. It is about $70 more than the same time last year. The rate hike DLC got probably is responsible for $20-$25 of this, but the rest is this cold weather. The average temp was 10 degrees less this past month than one year ago at the same time. That's averaging it over 24 hours and the 32 day cycle. Come on Spring!

 

Well, 9 hours later and the power is still out.
On the positive the town plowed my road at 6:30 -- enough snow I could get through with my van. They just went by spreading cinders.
Where were you all winter guys??

It sits in a concrete filled milk can, came with the house.
After I saw what a nice job you did on yours I was thinking about painting the milk can.

I actually gave mine a couple coats of spar varnish to bring out the color in the cedar.

Bummer. I hate when there is a power outage. We don't have the snow you do, but it is a wintry mix out there.

 

Still a good bit of snow was around going up the mountain earlier.

 

That's a bummer. That's why we ended-up with the generator. Sump pumps and well pump. Can't live without 'em.

 

11-1/2 hours later we have power -- and water!
