good morning all!! hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!!!

I disconnected from electric tech and stuck to mechanical tech this weekend, getting about 150 miles on the bikes in...lots of cold, wet/snow riding, and also some good mud riding on trails. (on private property...no legit trail damage happened!!!)

back to the grind here at school, but the countdowns to summer are beginning...

We are getting that snow that some of you got yesterday. It's been flying for hours but melting as it lands, as the temperature is in the high 30s.

Chonky and floofy. At about 17.6 pounds

He has a girlfriend. A few weeks ago a cat started coming by at night. About 2 inches taller than Dusty! They try and fight through the window, seems they want to rip each other apart.

    Must be love

It's not that bad here. It's a wintry mix but it really isn't sticking, especially on the roads.

Our ground is soaked here, soggy and swampy from too much rain all winter, and really over the last few years. We have been above average since 2018 (about 39-40 inches of rain) and already have 11-12 inches since the start of the year. :crapstorm:

If it becomes available again I’ll pick it up. Yeah, the flowers are constantly losing their ‘petals’. The red roses seem to be holding up. I made six in different lengths and put them in a vase with greenish colored flat marbles. Palma has them on her night stand. :D I did good.
Thanks…it’s nice to be back. :fistbump:

    17.6 wholly crap!!!

I thought my little girl was chunky at 7.6.

    Good afternoon everyone.

I got a text from the GF this morning, she was on the way with Clarence to the kitty ER, he has been puking a lot lately and has been beyond finicky about eating. He will eat a little bit of kibble and only lick the juice from the wet food. I was there on Saturday, he was acting fine, smacking the dachshund and acting like a fool. Then he just stopped and started puking really violently, I felt helpless. He got passed it and was fine on Sunday ( trying to steal some Easter ham off of the table!) Apparently he puked a lot while the GF was at work on Monday and he had a really bad night. I was told that the tests indicate that Clarence has chronic kidney disease and some sort of chronic intestinal disease, the test results won't be ready for a few more days. I bummed to say the least, he is the only cat that I ever liked. I haven't talked to my GF yet but I can only imagine how devastated she must be.

I don't want to dwell on the negative, I want to do something that will help make the time that he has left to be enjoyable. He is always trying to escape out of the house and run into the back yard. He has escaped in the past and will try to make a get away. I want him to be able to enjoy some outside time so I have been thinking about something along the lines of a chicken coop. Have any of the cat owners in here ever made anything like this? I need some input on a functional design.

We trained him when he was young by putting him on a leash and taking him outside. Now we open the door and he stays in the yard and never goes farther.
I have blocked off the escape routes but he never even tries.

Sorry for the diagnosis, that is not too uncommon in cats.
