I have an ARE camper shell (200ish lbs), decked system (200ish lbs).

I don't carry heavy gear in the back unless on a camping trip (maybe 3-4 times a year - maybe an extra 200lbs during that time) and we'll be towing a travel trailer in the 3800-4000lb range a few times a year.

what leaf spring would ya'll recommend for my truck?

I also already have the sumosprings (blue) if that makes any difference.

I got the Icon RXT leaf packs from an excellent recommendation. They come set up for Option 1 as well as the parts for Options 2 and 3, which allows you to tailor the setup.

Your ARE is probably closer to 200 lbs. Anyway I have a LB with ARE cap, racks on cab and cap, and about 80-100lbs constant load (tools etc). I have Deaver Stage II Expedition leaf springs and very happy with them. Paired with Eibach shocks and Stage 2 adjustable Eibach coilovers up front. I had sumo springs in the back because it sagged with the weight of the cap. Those now serve as extended bump stops.

Another Deaver stage 2 vote. I'm installing mine as soon as I get a free day. Carrying about the same constant weight as you.

I called up Deaver and bought direct from them. If you want them now they may still have some in stock since I got mine just last week.

Don't freak out when its sitting close to 4" lift immediately after install. I was thinking WTF, but they settled in about a week and haven't budged since. They ride great loaded or unloaded. I was estimating 300lbs constant, and stage 2 are 400-700lbs recommended load. They feel sooooo much nicer than factory springs.

I think the ICON packs are a little cheaper and I've heard good things for those as well as Alcan. A lot of people run OME but there are some minor annoyances there with squeaking and I believe they still scrape the hangers due to the design. I don't think you could go wrong with Icon, but I'd pay for a full pack rather than an AAL.

so this is how the truck currently looks. would adding an AAL or pack change how it sits? I like the more level look :anonymous:

@memario1214 wisely talked me away from an AAL on worn stock leafs. Mine were sagged out and not worth living with.

I've been rocking an Icon AAL for th last year or so and it's doing the job. I recently added a swingout/tire carrier and all that weight way out on the end finally made it start to sag a bit. I kinda knew going in the AAL was basically a bandaid and eventually I'd need a full pack replacement

Looks level now, adding either AAL or leaf pack will give you rake. The leaf pack is the better choice, but you would likely need to do something up front ... I have rake and like it.
