Just air down. It's 100% the first thing you should do.

thank you all for your replies. airing down does help a bit, going 6112/5160s with HS 3LAAL , we'll see. Will consider AG HHs if unsatisfied after upgrade.

Yep, i've now seen an empty gen3 trd bounce around bad on my pot hole filled dirt road. I've taken the same road many times unloaded getting similar results. Just installing the tonneau cover back on helps. Its actually pretty good with a few hundred lbs in the bed.

I got the trd lift done :anonymous: That weekend I hit Death Valley… hunter mountain rd to racetrack playa, Titus canyon etc truck flew through it like what washboard? I have since replaced the 1” block with a progressive aal from toytec. Which gave it about 2” instead of 1 so the rake is back. If the truck is unloaded it gets pretty lofty in the back end. Decked system plants it.

Would those help with a different spring pack? I'm getting Icon RTX installed and not sure if they will come with new hangers or not? My guess is not but cannot find anything specifically saying one way or the other.

2020 trdorac stock with slightly bigger K02's - Went from a paved potholed road to a washboard on the side of road with two dirtbikes in the back and shockingly immediately lost traction in the rear. It was easily savable but I was suprised.... my 2nd gen didnt do the same in the same conditions.... might look into these AGHH's! Thanks!

Well a couple folks are on it. First thing is to air down. We have a ton of roads with heavy think wash boards here in Central FL. While I love all of my archive garage installs, airing down is your best friend. Especially if it's a washboard road you will be traveling on for miles at a time. Many different options on compressors or power tanks. It all comes down to how much you want to spend and what is your patience level with the fill / empty routine. My patience level is garbage most of the time so I'm set up for as quick as possible. To deflate I have Apex design precision deflators. Inflate is a dual ARB compressor along with remote chucks to the passenger / driver bedrail on the truck bed. Works like a charm. I would go with a power tank if I did not have lockers. Power tanks are much quicker.

I installed Fox 2.5 from Accutune last summer. Just did the Hammer Hangers and that seemed to have really cleaned up the ride. I rarely offroad so I haven't driven a washboard since the HH install, but the ride on crappy pavement really feels different. Almost like I added a lot of weight to the bed. The install was a huge pain in the butt with drilling rivets but worth it.

Imo, the best way to run on washboard roads is having more progressive spring action, along with the shock valving to match. The stock springs begin too stiff when unloaded....they need to start softer, and firm up in the last 2/3 of the suspension's travel. Having rear coils would probably be the next best thing, but then you'd have a payload issue not being able to carry as heavy a load.
