What does the bottom of the Toyota bed mat look like? Does it seat into the grooves of the bed?
I'm going to be building a sleeping platform in the bed and would rather have a rubber floor than carpeted plywood and was wondering how much give the bed mat has, I need the floor of the bed to be solid/firm and was wondering if the mat has a lot of give to it
    Thanks!

It’s flat with a raised pattern of, for lack of a better term, tiny pointy nipples. It does not seat into the grooves but is very thick and does not have any noticeable give. You would never know the bed was grooved underneath from laying on it.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I would agree. It is MUCH kinder on the knees than the composite ribbed floor.

It will work for what you want - I have a a 2x8 frame that my sleeping pad is supported by and it works fine underneath that. If you can have your supports line up on the ridges (vs the grooves) of the truck bed underneath the bed mat you will be really solid.

Yeah, thats what I figured I would do, rest the supports on the ridges.

    Thanks!

Yep, this allow air to circulate underneath so you don't buildup moisture.

Nipples and ribbed stuff isn’t enough for you? So picky.
