Whistle that comes and goes from center of windshield?

    few things here and there.
    Hey y’all.

Strangest thing, I have this annoying whistle sound that appears to be coming from the center of the windshield. It comes and goes per ride, and I, or anyone else for that matter, cannot seem to figure out what it is. I may capture a video and let y’all hear it. It’s not the kazoo sound in some other Tacos, but instead this.. annoying sound at the most annoying pitch.

Started after a deer hit my right fender. Body shop repaired everything, and it doesn’t seem to be coming from that side specially.

just curious if anyone knows where I can even begin on this one.

    thanks.

Masking tape. Start taping off suspected areas until you find it?

Check the 2 rubber roof strips and see if they are coming loose at the windshield. That has been a known issue for wind whistles for a long time in the Gen 2 models. If it's loose, use some RTV to glue it back down.

If the masking tape that @TnShooter suggested narrows the whistling sound to the windshield you might consider the screen spline mod. It worked for my truck.

At the top of the windshield there is a small gap. Screen spline is used to fill that gap and stopping the whistling. I was getting that whistling at highway speeds.

There is a thread somewhere here on TW. I'll see if I can find it.

Speaking of wind noise and finding a thread. I've been traveling for the last week (currently in Pinetop AZ) and it seems like I have the dreaded wind noise coming from (mainly the PS) doors on my access cab. After skipping over the thread on this issue, I now find myself needing to read through it.

If anyone has that link, that'd be great. Who knows maybe I'll find it looking for the screen spline thread.
