Rota is down in the southwest corner of Spain, about 600 miles from Pamplona. I don’t know if they ever ran bulls in Rota, so nope, never ran with the bulls.

Iceland was the worst. Taxiing could be an incredible challenge with winds + icy ramp and taxi ways.

Sure do... Pretty much how I'd return a page (or make one) while out of the house...

I recently found my old Motorola beeper... in a clear case.

I remember driving a red and white 59 Edsel up Highway-1 and into San Francisco. Some guy flagged me over because every time I stepped on the gas I was losing gasoline out the license plate. Turns out I left the cap stuck back there under the plate, and it was still with me: just not attached.

I remember when I invented the self-service gas station back in 1978 in Kent Ohio. It was during the blizzard of 78 and I was the only gas station (Sohio) that was able to open in town. The line of cars was out in the street and it was below zero. I was froze and could not pump anymore gas so I told them if you want gas your going to have to pump your own. A few years later self serve gas stations were everywhere. I never got credit for starting that trend. My dad used to tell me that when he found out what I did that day. I also remember that day having to use a propane torch to thaw out the door into the station so I could go inside and open.
Not only were you expected to pump the gas but you also had to check the oil and clean the windows. Remember the ding ding when you pulled in and ran over a air hose? Gas station were exactly that. They had a service bay and bathrooms on the side. Not much of anything else.

I remember working at a Shell station with four repair bays and six pumps. The boss told me that they lost money pumping gas but they made the money on the repairs.

I found a set of these at a garage sale a few years ago. Brand new in the box for $10. Figured I’d flip them on eBay or somewhere for a couple hundred. Turns out it’s illegal to sell them.

Remember when a cheap pickup could be had?

The base price of the two-wheel drive model was $7,049 (adjusted only for inflation equal to US$17,760 in 2021 dollars[9]), making it the lowest priced Jeep model for the 1986 model year. A “restored” one goes for….
