Thanks! Sorry for the confusion. The tweeters are the satellite tweeters that come with the 6x9’s. I will definitely take your and others suggestion on the Subaru Tweeters! As for the amp - yes, I think you’re right - unless I am ready to pony up 4 figures and break out my wiring tools, I may be SOL. Maybe I’ll start with speaker upgrade, keeping the sub and amp as is and see how that sounds. It will likely sound better and it will just tempt me!

No worries, the first couple replies seemed to be directed at the original post from over a year ago is all. I can tell you from my experience, upgrading the front door speakers had the most significant impact for me when I originally upgraded. The stock ones were laughably cheap and gutless--the JBLs may be better though. The tweeters I'm sure were an upgrade but not as noticeable to my ears. The rear speakers seemed to make the least difference. I added the kicker hideaway 8" sub about a year later, and I'm pretty pleased with how everything sounds now.

Good info. When you installed the subwoofer did you install aftermarket amp under seat or were you able to source one that fit with the sub behind the rear seat (passenger side)? If latter, what amp did you go with?

I have the 2021 TRD Sport with the standard (non-JBL) audio. Perfectly adequate for me. You would have to be a dyed-in-the-wool audiophile to appreciate anything better. Unless you just want to spend money for the sake of spending money.

I have an AC, so no back seat, but I fit the sub under the driver seat. The hideaway is a powered sub, no separate amp needed.

Unless they've significantly upgraded the stock system, there's lots of room for improvement. I'm by no means an audiophile but the sound was noticably worse than the system in my 2005 civic. Spending $100-200 on some aftermarket speakers makes a huge difference.

Well, got the truck, put a stereo in it, didn't like the first sub set up I had in it, decided to change it and the coaxials I had in the rear doors out.
Put some Pioneer midrange speakers in the doors (the same ones I have in my front doors), and put a CT sounds Strato sub in a ported box between the jump seats. Gotta say, I REALLY love how it sounds now!Pioneer Mids in Left and Right rear doors (2).jpg Pioneer Mids in Left and Right rear doors (1).jpg Finished and Installed Subwoofer Box (1).jpg Finished and Installed Subwoofer Box (2).jpg Finished and Installed Subwoofer Box (3).jpg Finished and Installed Subwoofer Box (4).jpg Finished and Installed Subwoofer Box (5).jpg
