10 years ago today a new litter of puppies entered this world.
Dad was a Black Lab/German Shepherd
Mom was a Nova Scotia Duck Toller
7 weeks later we took ownership of one those puppies.
The people that we got her from said, have fun, she's a nut.
We named her Coco.
It has been a interesting 10 years.
She's a real good dog.

 

Good morning everyone! I got the van cleaned up yesterday and then we reached out to our vet for a vet tech appointment we had several due for shots. So we loaded up 11 and went in for shots. I haul shelter animals all the time hundreds of miles but I don’t recall a load of more nervous babies ever. I was peed on one pooped on my arm they are good and normal acting inside this fence but nervous wrecks outside the gate. And that reminds me why most of them are here we end up with the unadoptables for various reasons. The vast majority of the time people want the perfect dog and are not willing to work with and spend the time to turn the flawed ones into the perfect companion. I always tell that the cat sanctuary for the rescue is here days like yesterday make me realize the dog sanctuary is here also.

 

The nuts are the best kind I like a quirky dog maybe that says something about me!

Believe it or not , she’s the reason I started looking at this thread. I saw her picture and thought she had something around her shoulders and then realized it was her coloring. Gorgeous girl.

 

Dogs KNOW when they are going to the vet! Every dog I've ever had loved to go places, but by some instinct knew when we were going to the vet and their behavior would change.
