Wow, stunning! Looks like an awesome time. Any difficulty securing your boat to the top of the RTT? We do the same thing.

    Thanks, was a great trip!

Nope, pretty easy. I just put a piece of kids foam floor mat on top of RTT and strap the kayak down. Just gotta check the straps once in a while, they stretch a bit over time. That kayak is pretty light.

We got snowed on too in Canyonlands in March. Definitely my first time camping in the snow. What an experience!

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Nice. Used to camp many years ago at Chehalis lake.

This looks so fun, need to get a crew together and do this. Just had a baby so that has been my excuse, but she's just about ready for some camp/offroad adventures!!!

    Thanks for providing inspiration!

That was our first trip with it. Really impressed so far. We saw everything from rain, sleet, snow, and heavy winds that night and everything stayed dry inside. Super easy to set up and tear down. The bags are oversized so you don't have to know magic tricks to put the thing away.

I think the T3 is a good size for us, just the two of us and our dog and there is plenty of room. If you had a 6foot bed or didn't mind throwing the t4 on the roof somewhere then the added height would be nice but wasn't worth it for my situation.

A roof top tent would never work for what we do so I think this is the best option for us. Very happy with it.

Thanks. I currently have a hardshell RTT, but we have a young baby with another on the way. I don't think the RTT is going to be a viable option for much longer. Been looking at the T4, I don't mind storing it on the roof since I'll now have the real estate free anyway. Glad to hear it did well in the rain. I'm used to tents that have the rain fly cover the whole body so I'm concerned about the single layer spots soaking through.

Has Tettegouche opened or are you just in the parking area?

Almost May and still getting snow along the great lake Superior...

Its open. Tettegouche is one of the handful that are open for year round camping.

Definitely quite a bit of snow for this time of year. If you drive a few miles in from the lake shore there was A LOT of snow left on the ground.
