Oh- I don't leave anything in the truck but I do prefer putting things where they're hard to access by kids in the backseat.

Just remember that's how YOU do it. Others have different needs and the truck itself locks and has an alarm. It's probably no easier to break into a truck than a house. In my book, don't advertise what is in your truck with stickers like a douche and keep everything out of sight.

Oh man, rear window truck stickers are a topic that should be more widely discussed. I know the lizard brain idea is that it's a flex "Don't mess with me because I'm carrying a XX brand gun," when really it communicates "Heeeeyooo this pricey gun is protected by a quarter-inch of glass and nothing else!"

Just to fight the opposite side of this argument, you don't have advertise with stickers. Simply having skids/sliders/bumpers/camper shell/roof rack/etc makes you a likely outdoorsy individual when profiling vehicles in a parking lot. You don't have to advertise whats in the vehicle for even a halfway competent thief to make a correct assumption. As for the truck itself locking and having an alarm, unless you installed aftermarket glass break sensors, or you were lucky enough for your truck to come with them (but more don't than do), its extremely easy to get into a vehicle unnoticed. Doesn't matter if what you have is out of sight. If someone wants it, they'll search until they find it.

The only identifying marker I'd ever want on my truck is the stupid licence plate.

The fishing boat is a diff story lol

Jokes on them. If someone breaks into my truck all they're going to find is some Crayola markers, empty candy wrappers, and (hopefully empty) sippy cups.

I am old enough to remember gun racks with associated weapons on prominent display in pickup trucks. Wonder how we coped with such anxiety. Guess we didn't have the hysterianet back then.

Pssh. I know you're making a joke but that's a warning sign for sure around these parts. There are LGBTQ gun groups and they do not mess around. I've seen them at the range and they are strapped & well trained.

I'm glad someone other than me said it :anonymous: on that note, I figure this to be a safe time to opt out of the thread

And apparently they still retain their testosterone/aggression. Case in point (skip to 2:05 if you don't wanna sit through the whole 2.5 minutes)

I wish Ben had responded with "Now that wasn't very ladylike of you"
