Haven’t finalized my order yet but I was going to just follow the bill of materials that @Ripcord posted. I’m waiting on samples of the 600D Polyester from Rocky woods and samples of the OtterTex so I can compare which I like better before ordering.

Sorry I worded that wrong, I meant for the extrusions. I wasn't sure if because we are using a contractor cap instead of the space frame if the dimensions of the frame of the tent would be different.

I went with 96” for the sides and 52” for the front and back pieces.

Awesome. What did you like about the Ottertex over the 600D PU coated polyester? Also, do you have the link to the Ottertex you used? I was undecided on which weight Ottertex to get.

Honestly, either one of them is going to work great for most people. I just wanted something that was a gridded ripstop, and would handle the abuse better. The Rockywoods stuff didn't seem like it was going to be as long-term durable, but I could be wrong. The Ottertext had a better UV life rating over the rockywoods IIRC. Another guy on here up in the PNW used the ottertex and loved it.

I also didn't want bright red or blue haha.

Finally got the sewing done. Total pain in the ass. Problem was not having late enough layout space.

I opted to put some entry/exit doors out each side. There will be a corresponding telescoping ladder to allow for middle of the night pee trips.

For all of us in the Denver area, do we want to schedule a meet up to compare/show our builds?

The one you linked doesn't appear to have a ripstop weave. Are you sure you didn't go with this one?

    https://www.fabricwholesaledirect.c...pstop-pu-coated-fabric?variant=39460484907123

It's quite a bit thinner than the 600D PU Polyester from Rockywoods.

Has anyone done a two tone tent? I was thinking of doing charcoal for the main body and adding some red in somewhere, like maybe just around the base and roof or zippers. Not sure if I'm sold on the idea yet, still just kicking things around.

Are you reusing the original aluminum skin for your build, or re-doing everything with the alu panel/bebond stuff?

My original skin was in fairly rough shape. Right now I’m planning to only reuse the doors and the side framing (around the doors. I’m going to use ACP for the side paneling. I was on the fence about it but the extra sheet of ACP was only $85 so it seemed worth the extra money and effort.

The fabric you linked. I’m a different user than @nanserb who used the other link.
