    After getting my fuel pump recall done, my mileage went from 16.5mpg avg city to 18mpg. 18mpg avg hwy to 20mpg.. Knowing the intricacies of tuning I have no idea how this is possible with a fuel pump change but I'm anal about keeping logs of everything. I've been through 4 tanks of gas before I posted this, but it was immediately apparent.

    Mild lift, 265/70/17, bumpers, skids, etc.

    Just wanted to let y'all know in case you were putting off the FP recall.

    The 4 cyl A/T guys really need help. I had one and it was a lot more miserable than the 6 cyl. I had to trade mine in. It's a good thing a lot of them are manuals.

    Kudos to the developers and the dedicated tuners throughout the country...I've finally pulled the trigger and had PRO + downloaded yesterday afternoon. I know it's early to make observations as it's still learning my habits but I felt compelled to at least let you know my preliminary findings...smoother shift points and, most importantly, horsepower and torque are now in the range where they can be utilized best. A special shout out to @HCFR TACO22 for hooking me up. For any fellow Taco owners in the greater Tampa area that feel compelled to spend their hard earned dime on the absolute best Taco upgrade you could possibly buy...this is IT!

    On the Pro file, is the speed capped? Same set-up, different tune, before I was able to hit 112. Yesterday, was only able to reach 101.

    Testing was done somewhere in Mexico.

    Both are set the same--Speed limiter at 400kph- 248mph.
    It should not limit you at all- even with 5.29 gears.

    The only other way that it would limit you would be if you were in SMode. Each gear has a limit where it wants to shift to the next gear. So make sure you are in Drive or ECT or SMode-6.

    I had one crazy guy that sent me a screenshot of him doing 138mph- in Mexico. LOL

    When I was able to do 112, I’m pretty sure I was on the most recent tune of KDMAX, then Pro tune came out a month later. Setup was 6 inch lift, 34’s, and stock gears. 138 he’s got to be stock.

    Yep, it was a stock 2017 truck.
    When I tuned him, he had a large work toolbox in the back. He sent me the screenshot on his drive back home.

    EDIT - incidentally the jerkiness he is referring to is his 5.29 gears coupled with the throttle response from when he was on the sport throttle.
    We put him on normal and that is what he's referring to when he says it's not noticeable :cool:

    We don't have any roads in Missouri that are safe for a truck running 112 or 138. Nice to know my Pro + will allow my truck to go that fast though if I need it. I really love my tune. Every 3rd gen probably needs one. It's really nice not having to turn on the ECT button every time I start my truck. I was going to buy a throttle controller to fix the lag, but I don't need one now. I love how my truck shifts smoothly and properly for all speed limits. Now I don't have to wait on the transmission to downshift when making a turn because RPMs drop too low. And there is no lugging. I'm getting around 22 mpg on highway. It's pretty sickening to buy a new truck and have it run like crap. The tune sure makes my new truck a lot more fun to drive. Thanks to Josh for getting me tuned so quickly.

    Some of the guys travel and may meet you halfway or have a tuning day in your area.
    Another option is to purchase the Vftuner software and DIY.
