Wow! Fantastic build. Fully functioning DCCD is the icing on a fine JDM cake.
Making me miss my '05. I sometimes think about picking up another one but I'd want to drive it in winter and their values are really starting to go up. Not sure I could bring myself to do that to one of them.

I hope you get something badder asser than what your wife drives this time. That's got to be tough explaining to the chitterlings at the Chucky Cheese that you're just borrowing it from your wife to go there.

None of them are bullying you are they? We can get your wife to talk to their parents if so

Used prices hurt to look at, and I wouldn't even buy one without some money set aside for the inevitable rebuild so that's another couple grand on top. I never should've got rid of mine

I’m saving up, but I figure an 09-14 WRX will scratch the itch without getting into the STi realm. I can drive it year round doused in FF. The 09-10 narrow body cars will never have the same following as the 11-14 cars car, let alone the GC chassis cars.

The current owner of my old STi drives it year round and put like 30k on it in a year. I don’t think I’d want it back.

The beginning of the pandemic I was looking at an 08 hatch with accident history for 10k. Now they’re all 20 and up.

I’m going to be a dink and finance something most likely but leave enough cash in an account to rebuild. My original plan was this summer but values are jumping too fast. If the GD cars didn’t all rust a cheaper one would be fun to go back. A simple drop, 5x100 STi BBS, STi trunk swap and I’d be golden.

I know, I left mine basically stock and I was plenty happy. On top of the rust anything with a turbo has more than likely been abused and I don't have the space nor time to tend to something less than turnkey. Maybe down the road sometime :(

Sorry not really active anymore. My budget depends on what I find. I'm really looking to stay away from the RTT route. I have an old trailer and might just build it out. With no electrical, carpentry, or welding skills it'll likely be over my head. Only one way to learn though. It just seems like everything is so overvalued right now.
Your buddy's trailer is a hell of a deal and what I was thinking originally. I guess I'll have to figure out exactly the set up I want before looking. If you come across a can't pass up deal I'd appreciate the details. GFC for $6800 is pretty damn tempting.

You doing the whole 12-15 conversion? Just need hood, headlights, grill, and support bracket. You don't need the fenders

I am planning the conversion, and I have an arb bumper so I will only need the headlights, grill, hood and misc brackets. The reason I may take the passenger fender is to use it to install a snorkel, that way if I ever sell I can use my original and go back to stock.

Thats a good idea, was thinking about the passenger fender myself, but too far away. I might have a grill support bracket for you. From when I sold my supercharger to a guy with a 13. Let me look for it, and ill let you know.

Well I wonder if it was someone on here who got the hood before me. I messaged the guy right after he posted and said I would come any day. Tells me he’s out of town and has to be Monday. I just messaged him and says he sold the hood today, didn’t even give me a chance to get it.
