    Any wood workers here?

Looking to get a 20" by 20" square board to make a table top out of, 1" thick.

Prefer it to be ready-to-stain but don't mind needing to sand it a bit.

Home depo sells nice butcher blocks that would be perfect for that

Aware, but I'll have plenty left over that I'd hate to toss away.

Is it hard wood? If not your gunna wanna epoxy it.

If you joint the board you can glue and press them together.
You can ghetto joint with a table saw and need large clamps (which i have)

    or buy a actual jointer

Then just hand plane it or see if a wood shop will throw it through their planer.

I'm not a wood worker, which is why the much easier solution is = look for a 20" square table top for me to finish :burp:

Go to your local lumber yard then, they can cut you a slab or atleast a large piece you can trim to size

Yeah, only a bunch of islands, tables, etc.

But LT comes through way better than randoms on CL/FB.

Man, you want to steer me off this thread as much as possible.

Just figured I'd ask the crew here :burp:

    Yep.

I can buy it anywhere, but don't want to waste my time going to a lumber yard or three.

It's convenient when someone chimes in and says "I've got one" and it's just extra for that person.

How many times has that happened here already? We've found each other car parts, and other misc. stuff. Zane in PNW, Todd in AZ, Dan in rustville, etc.

Lseat sent me an extra set.
