    I'm accustomed to having torque curve off idle to around 2200rpm. I'm not looking to go fast, just want that immediate "pull" w/o having to goose it.

    OVTune. Do other tunes bring the torque on at lower rpm?

    LOL. I actually like the 4-banger, had an early one. Simple, reliable, just goes and goes nowhere fast. It seems more of a truck engine than this 3.5.

    Having had the infamous 3.Slo V6, 1FZ-FE, two 2UZ-FE's, and the 4-cyl 2TR-FE, all of them pulled hard off idle. I miss that in this truck, don't care about winding it out to get max hp...

    How many people get into a sports car and drive it around for the day, and then complain that it doesn't feel like a mid sized truck does.

    So, clearly it must have issues.

    Reality check folks.

    1) The test drive alone should have clued you in that the truck isn't going to have the squirt of a sports car, duh!

    2) Could possibly opted for the manual. The forward gearing is superior to the auto. Reverse, not so much. No vehicle on the planet should have this bad of reverse gear ratio as the 3rd Gen manual has.
