I still have the springs from the Radflo 16”-650 at the house. I can get pics tonight if you want.

How much preload do you currently have in the 600s and why not add a little more to obtain your desired ride height?

Ahh, Roger that. I wasn’t sure where I would be with the DCLB. Thanks for that. Hoping I’ll be able to redo the rear of the truck by the end of the year. Then it’ll be really time for some mobbing

these springs won’t allow any more lift oven if I go more pre load, at least based off measurements.

Gotcha, you're concerned about binding. How much actual preload is in the spring? I run 16x600 springs and only have about .75" of preload IIRC.

Sometimes the spring is not the actual solution

Wouldn’t it be dependent on how much weight one plans to carry? I’ve been chatting with some of the other guys who have gone down the h70 route with JDfab, on DCLB, some measuring 9+ inches of up travel from ride height. I planned to go this route as well with a frame notch, but I usually don’t carry much more than my spare and a tool box.

Maybe be wrong, each truck is different but maybe your issue is valving

i have played with a few shocks and some times the valving is the thing to put attention on and not just the spring tate

The complaint wasn't mine originally but I don't disagree.

@NcTaco27 complaint is ride height which is directly related to spring rate/preload. Valving has no effect on ride height.

Could be their kit - Dirt King uses HD’s, most 1st gen race trucks use them too. I’m only getting 6.5” of up travel with my H70’s on my extra cab 1st gen with dual 35” spares, a jack, and a cantilever kit.

I’ll have to measure pre load, but those who want to notch frame with jd fab kit beware of negative arc. I’m not really %100 sure if this amount is bad but it might wear the springs out, idk just thought I’d throw that in since I haven’t seen anyone else frame notch with the kit. But I get about 10” of up travel.

Edit - I ended up ordering 18" 600lb king springs from down south, so well see how they work.

I have H70's with bed cage and only bedsides (DCLB). I didn't think I wanted the heavier springs of the HD's but I'm really regretting that decision now. I may have 4" of up travel to the bumps. Worse decision I ever made. Made even worse by selling my old springs before I really tested the new springs.
On a similar note, does anyone know the difference in the two springs (H70 vs H70HD)? Is it the whole pack or just 1 or two main springs that give it the extra carry (lift) capacity.
