Just got back from my test drive and my truck can’t come soon enough. Even supercharged, the Tacoma is a dog. There are so many nice details throughout this truck.

SnailArmor. It is powder-coated, but not especially grippy.

Love my Toyota, but man this Tesla is Light years ahead of any gas powered vehicle. We can drive the Tesla all week for what it cost me to put 1 gallon of gas in the Tacoma. Also will Blow the doors off my Neighbors 2021 Vette.

Our household also has one of each. My Tacoma sleeps outdoors where "she" prefers. 2018 Tesla Model 3 rwd/lr has been next to flawless. My wife is tough on everything, once she bounced the rims off of a curb she's been done!

I put a rubber "mat" on my tailgate so my GSD doesn't slip off the tailgate. Additional rubber mat on the bed so it's easier on his paws.

Big fan of both, combined if you can swing it makes a great combo of vehicles for daily driving vs weekend warrior + hauling stuff for garden/home projects

I agree, one of each is the way to go. Use the truck when you need a truck.

The only time I drive my wife's Tesla is to move it to the driveway for washing. At close to 230lbs., it's a little tight for me in the front passenger seat and not built for a quick exit.

The seat moves and you can set up a profile. I don’t know if the 3/Y have ‘Entry’ mode, like the S/X but if it does you can set it up so that you can have even more room until you put your foot on the brake and shift.

Love my Taco, but love my Teslas just as much. Each serve a different purpose.. it’s apples to oranges.

There's a logo in the right hand side of the tailgate mat in the photo. Mine was an exercise mat I bought at Sam's Club and cut down. Notice how to tuck it under that tailgate lip to secure.

I'd love to have Tesla. I/we do a lot of in town driving which this vehicle fits perfectly. A trip for take-out, a trip to the gym, wife goes to the grocery store etc. But, I'm not giving up my Tacoma, but might think about trading her 2018 Avalon @ 17,000 miles although it's been a exceptional car. I'm still waiting for the shoe to drop on electrics. Beit higher electric costs figured in God knows how, or exorbitant maintenance costs, or just something else the wizards in DC can come up with extract money from hard working people. Sigh.

NEVER get rid of your Tacoma! Keep the Avalon and be patient. I put a deposit on the Tesla CyberTruck on the 2nd day of reservations.

That’s going to be ‘how do we tax electric vehicles that use the roads and aren’t buying gas, and thus not paying gas taxes?’. Should it be a one time charge per year, or should you be charged on your mileage/use of the roads? Obviously the second option makes more sense and is consistent with the existing gas tax.

    Every warranty available.
    I have the 21' TRD pro and a 21' model y LR.
Have never owned two cars that were this polar of opposites, and can say without a doubt that the answer is: both.
Buy the new T and keep your old trusty T.
Tesla is great for 90% of your daily/family things, and you can still spend your free time messing around with the tacoma. I spent 2-3 weeks "modding" the tesla and then i was done, theres not alot to do with it besides wash it and drive it. I've offroaded mine and would not reccomend it for longeivity sake. You'll always find a need for the tacoma.

Tesla prices are about 5-10k higher than they were little over a year ago, its not markup, its raw resource prices and trickle cost of new features. like 4860 cells, SBP, and single castings. This is probably the only reason why selling the taco would be a beneficial move. Take your extra "market" juice and apply it to the increase on the tesla.

The wait time sucks. if youre going to sell the taco do it after you get the tesla. Literally everyone that orders one will find themselves on the forums asking why their delivery date just moved 2 weeks into the future on a daily basis.
I ordered in feb, predicted may delivery, received july 31. I had 3 other cars and the delivery was first thing on my mind every monring, for months. Some find this fun, i did not.
