MY assumption judging by the damage, is that the stud snapped, the continued force for however long it was broken wasted the support bracket and once it was gone the belt rubbed the outer lip of my pulley until it was shredded smooth btw. Seems to be the logical steps.

ANNNNNND Disregard the pulley part number. It is incorrect! I just opened that bad boy and it is definitely not the ribbed pulley needed... MF’r!!!

I told you that pulley was not obtainable within a reasonable amount of time currently. Lol. I posted the part number to the Dayco 2.8 version of the ribbed pulley on page 1. If you need it you know where to find it now. I feel comfortable enough running the setup and spinning the blower with a 2.7 supercharger pulley.

One more little footnote, that lower stud breaks off in the timing cover not the T- case.

Yeah I read that on the front page. Debating on seeing if it might just be worth it to call and just get a whole new C bag at this point. Waiting to hear back from Mag on whether they have a C bag in stock

    Yes
To be absolutely certain, the circled stud is the problem child, correct?

    upload_2022-4-21_14-36-21.jpg

I have the M-71-76-10-134 stud coming my way from Superchargers Online but just want to make sure I am replacing the right one.

I too have been a victim of the idler pulley #1 stud being broken recently. I'm currently at 47k miles on the charger.
The replacement idler pulley from superchargers.com is at least 4 weeks backordered. I was at least able to order the replacement stud. I ordered the Dayco 89515 pulley and timken 6230-2rsc3 bearings for a temp replacement.
I needed to extract the bolt from the timing cover. I used a 90 degree drill attachment to get in between that tight space, then used an extractor.
I am currently reusing the old ribbed idler pulley, even though its a little damaged. I have no choice until the Dayco pulley and Timken bearings comes in.

Now I dont trust those studs and looking for a better alternative.

Damn, so that's at least five of us now. And like three in a week or two? Did the warranty on the studs just run out?

Nergal was the man. I sat chatting with him for like 30 mins. He recommended we reach out to ARP and see if they can make a stronger stud to spec for us.

Due to me not thinking my heater hoses were rubbing, and then finding out they were.....

I want to replace this stud just for peace of mind.
