Show off your fish

Entered a 2 month long BFC (biggest fish challenge) for the spring pompano run here in NEFL. Got out Sunday and headed south of St. Augustine. Finally found a few and put myself at the top of the leaderboard with a solid 16 1/8” slab. I Don’t think it’ll last for another 7 weeks but it’s a solid start. Hoping to catch a few more this weekend before I’m away on travel.

Some of the guys in our breakfast groups were talking about some big striped bass that they had caught in the past on Lake Lanier.

Today they brought a pic of their catch and these guys have also made some nice money in some fishing tournaments too.

I’m hoping to get into the trout game this year!! I’m still a noob with a fly rod I just started last year fishing local ponds and lakes for lmb and whatever else I’m lucky enough to fool lol

 

Best place to go is where there is no cell service, and of course a stream where nobody else knows.

 

First fly fishing session since before the 2013 floods. Caught this little beauty in the first 10 minutes. We’re currently camping in Lavern M Johnson, Lyons…

It’s good to be back in CO!

 

Some fun hunting steelhead in the creek this morning. Landed 7 with a $1.00 Walmart rooster tail spinner. Good times.
