Pretty sure they sell something similar. This is the one I have

EverStart has a few tiers. Value, Plus, Maxx, Marine (all lead acid) Platinum (AGM). Value and Plus are still listed in 24F, just not Maxx.

I wasn't planning on jumping to AGM, but mostly because I've never had any issues with lead acid (apart from the standard "I left the lights on" and "it died of old age"). Maybe this is a sign I should reconsider.

ah ok. I didn’t want to overthink it, I wanted something widely available, and it was in my price range. Boom done.

Hah, that's the same mindset that led me back to the Maxx 24F. Now I'm at serious risk of overthinking.

Maybe I should just buy a new truck with a working battery.

I switched to AGM on my 04 because of corrosion on lead acids. The EverStart 24F Maxx I bought early on in college ~5 years ago is still going strong. Moved it down to my 99 since it was running some tiny group size from the previous owner.

One thing about AGM is the charging voltage isn't high enough (14.1-14.7) on our trucks in a stock setting... per NorthStars recommendations at least. Either the Suzuki alternator upgrade or an HKB alternator fuse voltage booster gets it up into the proper range.

That is so awesome! My time as a machinist (we didn't have welders for anything we made) had a foundry attached as well, as I learned so much about the whole damn process I refer to it still, maybe 12 years later lol

    Allergies fucking suck!

First, I'm glad to hear you were correct, but coming from her perspective; when I was first diagnosed with my skeletal issue, I was prescribed an ungodly amount of Sodium Naproxin, like 3200mg + per day. I "got better" within 2yrs of that.... fast forward 4yrs and the missus gives me an ibuprofen (in the same NSAID family) and she had to rush me to the emergency room:laughing:

Apparently my years of taking the legal daily limit made my body create a sensitivity (which turned into an allergy) to a surprisingly common drug.

Point being, maybe cut your wife some slack?

This fucking Tracker (Suzuki engine) is really making me appreciate how easy it is to work on my truck.

    Just an FYI

    In my personal opinion....

That's because, as a species, we shouldn't be drinking milk after single digit age. Don't get me wrong, I love cheese... I've also settled down with a gal that developed a more major lactose intolerance later in life...

but humanity should not be ingesting lactose later in life. Every other mammal out there stops drinking momma's milk when they're out of the infant stage. We shouldn't be any different... Lactose intolerance is the way evolution is supposed to happen IMO

    Same, it's not fun

But I can assure you, after watching enough safety videos AND seeing the dark recesses of the internet before you were even born...

480 is a fucking tickle compared to the voltages that are out there

Lol I've been hit by ~10kV from a CRT. Heart skipped a couple. I ground/discharge things now...

Ya <69kV is low voltage to me. Powerflow analysis (90% of what I do) is mainly 34.5kV - 500kV with some 765kV and HVDC sprinkled in

See @Sperrunner that's what I was telling you before!

When I was dealing with what I considered "High voltage" by having to test hand held equipment with a megger, I was laughed at by guys in the industry that told me 1000v was the cut off for low voltage lol

I was also in telecommunications where "high" voltage was 9v sooooo....... electricity is weird
