There’s no way. I had a 2011 Ram with a 5.7 Hemi, trust me, there’s no comparison. He was just being nice…

The 3rd gen once you get it going in the upper RPM's. In normal driving the 2nd gen feels more "torquey" though. The 2nd gen won't downshift on every little hill on my commute. One road the 3rd gen will be all in and out, whereas the 2nd gen just cruises along no shifting...

TW never disappoints! Did I say I was looking to go fast? Nope. Has my wife or I ever driven a truck before? See my signature. Did I say I want to wind out the rpm's to get power? Nope.

I want torque down low, where it is useful. You know, for driving around town, offroad. Guess I shouldn't have bought a truck with a car engine, o well.

    Carry on, twatwaffles.....

I would get tired of the shifting. I like how mine just lugs up some hills and doesnt make a big fuss about it.

I’m pretty sure if you select S5 in your 3rd gen, it won’t shift as much. 2 OD gears vs 1.

Tried that, still unlocks the torque converter and shifts to 4th. Most of my driving is back roads 55mph and some steep hills.
