    Well, may be a moot point. It's going back to Best Buy tomorrow.

    Got it out, plugged in the USB cable, hit the power button.

    Nothing.

    off to TomTom's website we go.

    Try their support suggestions.

    nothing.

    Eventually end up at "call our support line".

    Fuck that shit, it's defective, won't turn on. Gonna exchange tomorrow. Also, per google, this model does allow manual coordinate entry...but I might exchange for something else...

    the traffic is right on the money out here......
    just checked i have thexxl 350 not the 550.....like yours.....
    did u tey holding the power button for a few secs......
    also try charging it or hook it to the comp....

    I knew enough to go ahead and plug it into the USB port on the PC. I tried every reset method TomTom had listed on their site....still no go.

    Gonna go exchange it tomorrow.
