Discount tire won’t put my new wheels on because they aren’t getting enough threads (5.5 turns). I know this has been discussed in this forum. Using the rays lugs, do you all think it will be fine if I go home and mount the wheels up myself?

yes, when you put them on, put one lug and tighten evenly, unless you have some hub centric rings, could be off and can cause vibes.

appreciate the response. I do have hub rings so hopefully that will help them seat properly.

in that case, yeah, FULL send dude. you be fine. just make sure you torque your lugs to spec. I believe it might be 90Ft/lbs at least from what I can remember.

Finally got around to mounting tires, and installed them myself since discount wouldn't do it (due to thread engagement not being enough). Anyways, these are matte blue gunmetal 16x8.5 -10 with 285/75/16 geolandar mt. Using the rays 37 lugs and hub rings. Digging the setup and the look. The blue isnt for everyone, but I'm liking it. I need to paint the rear hub. Anyone have any advice on what paint they used to do that?

Finally mounted. 16x8 -20 TE37x - 315/75/16 Yokohama Geolanders MTs - Project Kics r40 extended lugs (bought 2 sets a 16pc with locks and a 20pc no locks...spare set for a 4-lug Honda) - Wako Rashii anodized red hub centric rings - Apex quick deflators. The truck is a 1st Gen Tundra DC not a Tacoma...so no pics and she's dirty lol.

I rub minor on the bottom of the fender liner on drive ways at 1mph. Other than that, regular driving and turning, no rub at all. I’m on stock suspension with 220lbs added weight in the back.

If you’re looking for a good setup, this is it for stock suspension.
