Alright guys so I’m curious if anyone is set up similar.

A couple weeks ago I installed 6112’s (Bilstein stock 600lb coils) on 5/4 perch and rear 5160’s without any blocks or leaf springs.

From center hub to fender I’m at 22 inches all around,
With the 5/4 setting I’m supposed to gain 1.5 inches but I only gained one. Does that seem right to anyone?

Right above your post same settings
What was your before measurements? Before my lift I measured a few Rigs at the dealer. Have a buddy that works there. A lot of them measured under 21 hub to fender and 34 7/8” ground to fender. A lot of members say 21” every truck will be different IMO.

Unfortunately I forgot to measure it before smh but did notice a lot say 21” I guess I just don’t notice a difference from before lol even though I know it’s supposed to only be 1.5 inches of difference. Here was before with just new tires a week after I got her

Wanted to chime in and mention that it looks like Bilstein is changing up their 6112s for the 3rd gen tacomas. Now instead of 6 clip positions, the new design will have 11 clip positions. New part number is 24-309981. This information was confirmed by Bilstein and the Wheelers.

hang on, whats the point of even having clips 1 and 2 if we are not to use them? seems like the Bilstein engineers are trying to fix something thats not broken making things more "universal" and causing more confusion or problems

Yeah, I ordered them expecting them to come with 6 clips and the clips positioned at 6/5 for achieve a 2" lift. They arrived with 11 clip positions but were preassembled at clip 6/5 and will give me ~0.4" lift. Not sure why the change now and why the retailer's website wasn't updated to reflect these changes. Also not sure if I should send these back and try to find a set with 6 clip positions or just rock these.

Definitely a little weird that a supposedly vehicle-specific shock would have circlip slots that are not to be used with any Tacoma.

looking at the provided mounting instructions again, although clips 1-4 aren’t compatible with Tacoma’s, they are compatible with the 03-09 4Runners.

so this is a universal application.. "applicable for most, perfect for nothing"

    Bump....

Still trying to find this info. Best I can find is total travel 4.64" Currently at 21.5" on clips 5/4 with 600 lb springs running BAMF sliders (180 lbs) and BAMF full skids (200 lbs). I am adding a BAMF hybrid bumper (145 lbs) and winch (75 lbs) in a couple months. I am hoping to be at 22.5" hub to fender. I am thinking if I go to 6/5 and 650 lb coils that would raise me 1" but adding the weigh of the bumper will bring me back down some. I am considering 6/6 with 1/4 top spacer on drivers side but I don't want to bottom out the shock on compression. I currently have the wheelers superbumps.
