Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Fixed 5 months of squeaky lower control arm with 1.5 seconds of WD40.

Honestly it is a mystery to me!!! I must have just looked like an icebreaker ship or something with this giant fricking tree stick out of my front bumper! More credit to how peppy these 4.0 v6's are I guess! I really didn't notice! If I heard or felt anything weird when I was driving home, I was just attributing it to clearing mud and rocks from my tires and such

I just had mine replaced this winter. I couldn't take it anymore! They were squeaking for almost 2 years off and on, and I just wanted to be done with them so I paid for them to be replaced. So much more enjoyable now. But I still have Dakars so my truck isn't squeak free yet.

Nothing! I did nothing to it except drive it. Feels good to be happy where it's at now. Only remaining mods that I have planned (for now lol) are a tint, protection film on the new Pro headlights, and rear bump covers to cover the last bit of the exterior chrome.

I got my cerakote kit from Walmart. Can’t remember what it cost exactly. Something like 16.99 or 19.99. It cost more than the
Turtle wax, meguiars and 3m kits but cerakote seems to have pretty positive reviews for their products on this forum.
I opted to try this first before breaking down and buying pro’s.

Did a thing today. Picked up the 1 Ton rear drive shaft for the Suburban SAS project and got some wheels mounted on the rear.

I must admit, the Tacoma has made it alot easier to pickup whatever I have needed for this build. Still lots to do.

Adjusted my coilovers for less preload and a somewhat factory style rake.
Also crossed a milestone right after.

I used the 3M ultra kit for this. I've got a cerakote kit on the way for my Tacoma but the oxidation isnt near as bad as my Chevy was

Ideally I want to put a grease zerk fitted bolt in there, but haven’t yet. I honestly feel stupid that I haven’t tried this yet, because that squeak was driving me batshit crazy.

A headlight kit? Or one you’ll use to coat the whole car and use some on the headlights?

maybe they were able to sell them cheaper by not building them with anti squeak pads in between the leafs. Which I hear can be added. Versus greasable bolts which are in a different area

Really wanted to do the puddle lights and mirror turn signals mod. The complete mirror assemblies for plug and play install were out of my price range. So I had to get a little crafty. Bought some led strips(they were supposed to be sequential but Amazonian screwed me and i didn't feel like returning). Grabbed some smaller led lights from wally world to use as puddle lights. Notched some holes in the bottoms of my factory mirrors to flush mount the puddle lights. Attached the strips to the front mirror caps and covered them in black vinyl wrap so they'd blend in a little better. Ran everything through the mirrors. Wired the strips to the pre wired power mirror harness in the door. Ran a constant power with in line fuse from the Battery to the puddle lights. Grabbed my ground for the puddle lights from the door switch so the lights come on when the doors open and shut off without a delay when they're closed. Also installed the Hikari h4s that were suggested to me. They're doing pretty good and I haven't been flashed yet.

Side note. The turn signal strips have yellow and red diodes. I chose to wire up the red cause it shown through the black vinyl Better during the day. Just found out that in MA you can't have red front facing turn signals. IDK...hopefully I don't find that out the hard way...

i have the same issue around the hazard button using the same kit. Whoever set those dimensions was so off. It’s frustrating

What did you use to do this? I used that Sylvania kit from Amazon. It did a good job, but only lasted a year before they started to fade again.
