Long Island, NY Tacos

The only beach in Suffolk County that’s big enough to drive on is essentially Smith Point. I’m not sure how many State beaches you can drive on with the State pass, but Sore Thumb tends to be the most popular

 

Anyone in the market/interested in a CBI bedrack for a shortbed?

 

i would love to just try this for a week and see if it could work

how much you thinking for the sale??

2nd and 3rd gen bed width interchangeable??

 

I'd be down to let you try it for a week or two if you wanted to see. Lookin for a grand, solid. I'm like 90% sure it'll fit both gens.

It's upstate in my dads shop, but I'm actually going up next Wednesday, to bring it down next Saturday, so it'll be on the island and available

 

you are correct that smiths is by far the longest stretch we can drive... its about 5 miles from the entrance to the inlet, 5 miles back, with a couple of off shoots
I believe all other beaches at the most are around 1.5 miles from one point to another, 3 miles at most but barely round trip...






the one thing is a lot of those short beaches have nice fish/surf/site seeing/star gazing in their favor, but far far less 4x4 driving entertainment

 

alright, lets talk in a week or so, prob more than I can swing honestly so might be a waste of time but I have been considering something back there now that the cap is off

Here's a pic of it on my truck, bare. It's kinda a mid height rack, although I could see perfectly put my rearview with it on, no obstructions

Again you're more than welcome to borrow it for a week or two to see how ya like it. I don't particularly mind

That pics from about 2 years ago, had to take some of the lights off to make room for the other fun stuff. I'll throw the lights in if you want em, they're just sitting in my shop gathering dust. Wirings still kinda on the rack as well, albeit a little cut up.

 

Luckily, I am an ace with wiring! Let me know when you have it back on the Island, I would like to take a look at it!
