Didn't get caught up here on post but pause for a rant. Take a vehicle to the dealer and pay little over 700 dollars and the technician can't get the fuse box cover on correctly?? Got new calipers, rotors and pads on.

 

I have a first and second gen. I drive the first most of the time , but my second is lifted higher with mud tires and a manual and is my favorite

 

Friend of mine told me to turn new rotors cause they come warped from across the pond. He was the manager at an auto parts store

 

I'll know in a minute, time for test run pad burn in.
I've heard the same about cheap rotors. Suppose I could have checked with dial indicator.

 

I sold this 1949 Farmall Cub to a friend about 2 miles away 4 years ago, he’s 82 years old, he came in the store this morning and said it was making oil in the engine and the hydraulics were low. I said it’s the hydraulic pump, I can fix it.



Found pictures of one I fixed a while back. They have a small o-ring and it wears out and grooves the shaft letting the oil bypass and get into the engine by the drive gear. I bore them out and put a regular oil seal in and weld the shaft and turn it back to .500”








Hope I saved the fixture from when I went on a cleaning spree a few months ago.
