127 proof is pretty high, even for straight from the barrel!

I’ve found that I just don’t enjoy bourbons with a proof over about 110.

Buffalo Trace only distills one wheated mash bill so yes it’s the same juice. Only difference is the van winkle family pays a premium for the lower floors, sazerac (who owns the Weller brand) just puts it wherever

Picked these up to try while in Florida last week - popped both last night for a taste. Preferred the Blade and Bow but both are good.

It’s a fine drink…. Certainly not anything spectacular but for an easy attainable and inexpensive bourbon on the “premium” side of things I like it. I actually have it in a 1.75L which I think looks cool cause the bottle is the exact same but HUGE! If you see it all the expressions from 1792 are pretty good, my favorite being sweet wheat. I have been through a few bottles of full proof as well since that one isn’t too hard to find. I do have the aged 12yr as well but haven’t had the opportunity to open it yet. All that said you’ll like it, it’s a good pour and around me that’s a $30 bottle which is very reasonable. Enjoy!

Total Wine didn't pick me for anything this quarter, but they did have EH Taylor on the Manager's counter for retail. Couldn't say no to that. Also picked up some Buffalo white lightning for the DIY bourbon kit my girlfriend got me for my birthday.
