How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

You would think that the dealer would give you a few days for you to try to sell it on line. Or they could try to sell it on one of the dealer online auction sites. But I guess it is a dealers market right now.I just sold my 2020 privately/through the dealer this morning. I had my buyer waiting a month for my new one to arrive.It was very nerve wracking,scared that the buyer was going to lose interest in mine or find another one.

 

UPDATE: Sandia Toyota is a new dealer…..not owned by the LHM group anymore. Hopefully that is good news for those of us in the 505. I went over there yesterday for some parts and they seemed to be committed to doing the right thing, so hopefully your good experience there continues.

Ohhh I finally found one! I was waiting for one to be allocated and finally just started searching out of state dealers and found one which was allocated but not sold. I can't believe I actually found the exact truck I was looking for.

Put a deposit on a TRD offroad DCLB in Lunar Rock, will have to pick it up out of state but it's totally worth it.

Does the temp VIN change once it's built? Would the dealer give me the new VIN at that point?

 

Was just out running errands and drove by the dealership here. They had probably 6 used Tacos on the lot, looked like all of them were recent gen 3s.

 

I've believe once the vin stop working..it means it's been built and vspec should not work anymore and you should be able to contact your sales person for your true vin #. Mine week 12 temp vin# finally stop working today, So I'll call them Monday for my real Vin#

 

Truck just popped into the "G" category this afternoon, one more mile on the odo as well. Hoping to get a call Monday that it is ready for pickup.

Finally got a vspec page to track my truck with. So exciting to have some sort of movement after waiting around since January.

 

That might be the end of maual transmissions for the Tacoma. Maybe not enough people are buying the manuals that dealers already have, they're out there. Or it's a parts/cost issue, Toyota isn't going to pay more, or slow production to accommodate building manuals.

 

They will always continue to make manuals but just wont be available in the US like all the other cool products Toyota makes.

I actually got really lucky and found one that nobody had put a deposit on. Back in the beginning of March, I was looking at the Inventory Spreadsheet and found 2 TRD Sports, both equipped very similarly, just different colors (Magnetic Gray and White), allocated to this dealer. I went to their website and it showed both. I originally inquired on the Gray one, but that one was already spoken for. The White one was not. At that point, it was scheduled to be built on 3/29, so I put my deposit on it and locked it down.

 

I hope that's not the case, I don't enjoy driving automatic!
I'll update next week when I get some news of their meeting!

mines suppose to be built on 3/26 but got delayed to 4/15 but finally the temp vin stopped working today. so good signs so far my sales dude said early may delivery
