The same guy has the Pursuit of Flight on Rebrickable:
    https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-35702/JKBrickworks/pursuit-of-flight/

    The plans are free.

I bought his Star Wars Trench Run Pursuit and the price for the plans and parts (new on Bricklink) were comparable with my still yet to be delivered Pursuit of Flight.

    Here’s his portfolio:

Ohh I want that set so badly but I don't want to deal with the electric portion. Definatly looking forward to see how well the scale is between the bulldozer and dumptruck.

I wasn't all that interested in the motorized, phone controlled portion of the dozer initially, as I think it's somewhat gimmicky and won't stand the test of time. But then I drove it around my living room and it's pretty freaking cool. The 6WD system on this is pretty cool, and I'm like and hour in. I initially missed a gear in the differentials and I remember thinking it would never work, but then I realized my missed step and got everything turning together properly. The engineering in all of it is neat. I will be sure to post pics side by side with the dozer when I am done.

I felt like I had to pay the higher upfront price because on the secondary market it was going to be stupidly expensive. Also I know you can easily reproduce the set, but I’m a fan of the original packaging too.

I believe you can message other account holders but there’s no guarantee you’ll get a response.
After it closes, check out Rebrickable. See my post above - even though the PoF was chosen, the guy still posted it.

In real life, the dozer is approx 35' and the rock truck is about 40' so I think they pretty much nailed these in terms of matching scale. This was about an 8 hour build. At first i thought there was something wrong beacsue the truck actually pauses for a second and makes and audible click as you are driving, but then I realized that's the truck simulating a gear shift.

Darn you, tempting me even more to buy this dump truck.
How fast does the motor lift the bed? Can you see the transmission working if its being driven with the bed lifted up?

Smaller show this year, both number of registered attendees/displays and the public. Not really disappointed, though. Last year was so packed and chaotic. This year there's time and space to really take in the build and talk with others. Lots of great stuff on the tables

Approx 12.75 seconds to raise or lower the bed completely.

I am not sure if this is truly a "transmission", but you can absolutely see the two gray collars change positions as the truck "shifts" so it is changing something in there. The orange piece slides one forward while it slides the other back to lock into the red gears.

EDIT: There are actually 3 drive gears in this automatic transmission. Haven't figured out exactly how they are working together, but pretty cool. Actually need to shift into 1st to go over any kind of obstacle.

lots of cool builds! thanks for sharing with us @Sear87
that Abe Lincoln thing is awesome - I've seen people do that same effect with hand drawn sketches but never would have thought of it in lego form
love the Peanuts figs and giant forklift too.
