Edit, Ok guys read the listing, a dealer got it to flip it for big profit by using a auction website! But read the listing as it was just listed a few hours ago.

 

Hoping this is legit and someone TW member scores this deal, let us know if you do

 

What's not to believe? Keep the truck in a garge and only drive it to keep everything working as it should. Really easy for a dealership to pull this off.

A lot of people assume since the bed isn't metal it must be a liner and don't know it's FRC.

 

16k is the price, milage is 5k

When a 2013 lightly modded with 150k+ miles is selling for closer to 30k in this market a "flawless all original" asking 16k is...

Possible, somebody put it in storage until they come back from the sandbox and then... never came back. Happens.

That's what I was kind of thinking. Some kid got killed and its been tied up in probate.

I didn't really delve into who selling it at auction however.
Whoever bought it though, f-em. If that was in fact the case. The attorneys for the estate dropped the ball. Go figure.

And of course any one of us would have jumped on it, but that's kind of different. The attorneys (once again I'm speculating) called a "friend" at a dealership they regularly do business with and the dealer made them a decent offer based on the year and not what the truck actually represents. The dealer of course knew, but the lawyers didn't. Not everyone (believe it or not lol) realizes what these trucks are worth. Safe bet most geeky probate type lawyers would fall into that categorization. No disrespect.

I hope I'm wrong, because if I'm right, there's someone somewhere that deserves that money a hell of a lot more than whoever it is selling this thing, assuming they got in less than the stated opening bid.

This 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road is a double-cab pickup that is finished in Cement over black upholstery and powered by a 3.5-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The truck was originally sold by Perry Motors in Bishop, California, and was acquired by the seller in April 2021. Modifications include 16” Method wheels, King shocks, a Prinsu roof rack, Leitner overland equipment, a Tepui rooftop tent, Baja Designs fog and ditch lights, and Roam Adventure storage cases. This third-generation Tacoma has 63k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.



The truck is finished in Cement and has been modified with the following equipment:

Black 16″ Method 315 wheels are mounted with 285/75 BF Goodrich KO2 tires. The Technology package includes rear parking sensors, and the truck has been fitted with King 2.5″ adjustable coilover shocks, Total Chaos upper control arms, and Deaver leaf springs.



The cabin features heated front seats trimmed in black leather with a matching rear bench, dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include automatic climate control, a JBL audio system with Bluetooth and navigation, a powered rear sliding window, a sunroof, and front and rear all-weather mats.



The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a multifunction LCD. The digital odometer indicates 63k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.



The 24-valve 3.5-liter DOHC V6 was factory rated at 275 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. A K&N air filter and an Optima Yellow Top battery have been installed. An oil change was performed in October 2021.



Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Factory equipment includes a TRD front skid plate and a TRD performance exhaust system. The seller notes that Nitro 5.29:1 differential gears were installed under previous ownership.
