Is that all you do is go to different forums and push your Subaru propaganda? :stirthepot:

Anyone need some ATF, no longer have an automatic. There's about 3/4 of a quart left. Can give it to whomever when we see each other next.

    Doing some spring cleaning....

Yeah, I hate to get rid of it. Just another thing taking up space though.

Finally getting around to cleaning the undercarriage. Some of you will know this, but a regular lawn sprinkler works wonders.

    I love enthusiast forums.

So after Wyalusing, I had this horrible squealing noise coming from the rear of the 80 when in reverse only. No other driveline vibrations or odd things going on. So today I chased after it.

    Just needed a cleaning? Nah.
    Brake pads? Nope.
    Rotors? Good to go.
    Parking Brake? Just fine.

So after most of the afternoon troubleshooting, I went to the ih8mud archives. Turns out, it might be the u joints and/or slip yoke needing fresh grease...or they're going bad (pls no). Checked for play and there was essentially none, so regreased both u joints and slip yoke on the rear drive shaft...and the sound vanished.

    :bananadance:

TLDR basically a Toyota mechanic thanks to the internet.

Nice work, I lube driveline and ball joints at each oil change. Don't over grease the slip yoke. I've had good luck with this
