I lurked around for a few months trying to learn from everyone here and just yesterday bought my 2019 Tacoma. It's called a Special Edition down here in Mexico, and it doesn't really fit into a niche for Tacomas sold in the US, equipment wise. It hasn't been knocked around off-road, super low miles for the year, and for the price, I was able to overlook a few suspension issues that need IMMEDIATE attention (the previous owner put 33x12.50's that rub the hell out of the UCAs, and a levelling kit, and I'm not in love with the wheels he picked, lol)

A couple of pics from yesterday, I hope to be able to get this rig off-road capable in the very near future.Pic 1.jpg Pic2.jpg Pic3.jpg Pic4.jpg Pic5.jpg

Welcome to TW, good choice in color!, just noticed it doesn't have TSS and it's a 2019?

IMHO, Cement is the best looking, lol...Pretty rare to find this trim level in that color here. AFAIK, Toyota only offers the Special Edition in one color per year (Orange for the first few years of the 3rd gen, Lunar this year). I looked at a ton of 2017-2021 Special Editions that had been wrapped.

There are a few features that I think were included in the US market Tacomas that aren't available here. Toyota only sells 3 versions of the Tacoma here, Sport (2WD), Sport (4WD) and Special Edition (4WD). The features are a mix of what is offered in the US market. My Special Edition doesn't have wireless charging, trailering, TSS, or even cruise control, but it does have leather interior, heated seats/sideviews, sunroof and BSM. It's weird. I was amazed at the (lack of) options from the dealer when I considered purchasing a 2022. We certainly get spoiled in US market with options.

I've got the build sheet and paperwork that shows mine was built in 4/2109 in Baja, exported to the US, then reimported and sold at a local Toyota dealer new the same month.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!
