Good day today! Went into the office, took care of some issues, detailed the Taco, went to the dog park for a few hours, stopped and got the puppers ice cream at Carvel, came home and detailed the wife's T4R (it really needed it) and now we are headed to Jersey Mike's to redeem a free giant sub I earned!

@Squirt , I don't mow. I have a landscape crew that does it all with those big zero turn mowers. They're in and out in 20 minutes and they do everything (edging, weed whacking, blower, etc) far better than I ever could.

$40/week. Been using the same guy for about 10 years.

Those pro size mowers are amazing and save a ton of time! It's good that your happy with them because most of the people I mow for have had issues with companies and never seem to be happy with them.

The longest I've mowed for someone other than family was 6 years because they went out of business. I would still be doing it today if it were not for that.

Funny story. So I would hit golf balls into the polo field then back towards the house. Well one day I was kinda ambitious and bounced a ball off the back of the house. We have concrete siding and theres a golf ball sized cracked spot where it hit the house. It was a great hit because I was in the middle of the field and it still made it all the way to the house. Mom and dad weren't to happy about it though.:D

    That's no fun:(
Making patterns can be quite fun and satisfying. It can help set your house apart from others on the block but its not for everyone.

I've thought about doing that

When I do a square pattern the turning makes the corners lower and makes a big "X". Almost along the lines of a landing pad:)

I think I'm already set apart from the block by being something other than corn and woods.

Do patterns require mowing the same thing more than once? Not sure I have time to be fancy. I'm on a push mower.

It doesnt much more time if at all. You can do it parallel to the street one week then do perpendicular the next. You'll get pretty much the same effect as doing it twice.

Kinda think of it like high foot traffic. If you walk or stand in the same place for long periods of time the grass will get matted down which is what your tires are doing. If you change where you stand often the grass wont get matted down as bad. So by mowing different ways every week your not making high traffic lines in your yard.
