Scored a free toolbox from a friend today that I'll be putting on the nose of the trailer. Needs new struts, keys, weatherstripping, half of the hinge riveted back on, and a good cleaning but she's good as new now and I'm only into it $50.

Just did the same thing for the toolbox in the pick-up I inherited. If you need links and whatever let me know. I did new latches, struts, weatherstripping, and link rod.

I already bought everything but thanks. The latches and rod are smooth enough which is nice.

Well fine then! I was missing a key. And then the other one self-destructed a few months later.

The keys were surprisingly easy to order. I just punched the code into google and a slew of sites came up to buy a replacement. $11 shipped for a pair of them isn't too bad.

Beats the $30 I paid for a new latch. It was probably better for me to replace the whole thing. Twenty years of gunk and things weren't moving so good.

    Question for the Boss man….

What trailer brake controller did you go with in the tundy? I only step in here every now and then and missed it. Thinking of the Redarc for the taco, but have no issue going teknoshiofjgngudnssnennfj-in-in.

I’m fortunate enough that the tundra has an integrated controller! I’ve heard good things about redarc though.

Thank you for your kind words, they are flattering. I don’t currently have a brake controller but maybe the #3 guy in this thread @EatSleepTacos can answer your question.

He answered out of order (chain of Command). I greatly appreciate your response. Was looking for the answer from the Top, not the bottom.
