Filters clean?
All access panels/doors on the furnace in place and secure?
If there is any way for the air to go slow through the coil or bypass it that will cause freeze ups.

 

I wonder if I can get one of those cans like you can get for your car?

Wrong Freon your system is most likely R-22

 

prob have to make some calls to see who near you services old units with R22 if it hasnt been upgraded

 

I just put a new MERV10 filter in on the 1st. The only panel that is off is the lower panel that is over the control panel.

 

My wife did just say that the air coming out of the vents is the coldest she's ever felt come out of the A/C.

Pretty good sign the A coil is iced over.

 

The filter is likely too restrictive for your unit..

 

Did you have a lower MERV filter installed before?
If the unit is older the more restrictive filter might be an issue.

What brand dash mat did you get my dash is always dusty & that might be the cure

All the advice they gave u is right. Probably low on freon. Don't worry about that insulation. Other probable cause is the defroster board on the unit , but I would have the freon checked . They can tell you then if you have a leak.

 

I don't really know what MERV the unit is supposed to have, I don't have the manual. I just went with a MERV10 as we all have allergies.

I will check out the A coil tonight and see if it needs cleaned.

Did I do alright? 2k everything works, floors are solid never been replaced. Ac runs cold cold, already hooked up to power and well water. Comes with a little 8x8 plastic shed, fire pit and chairs. It was last on the road in 2021.
