3 1/4" ride hieght difference between back and front. Bilstein setting?

Ok. My truck goes in tomorrow to have the front bilsteins installed. I had the tsb done a couple of weeks ago. My question is, should I still set the bilsteins at 1.75" or go to the 2.5"? With the 3 1/4" difference, would the 2.5" be better? I don't want to have these installed and then regret my choice either way.

the rear TSB wil settle down a bit maybe an inch.

go with 0.85" if you want to maintain the stock raked with the back higher, i did this because i tow and when i do it sits level,

go with 1.75" for a level look. but load the bed or tow and you might be nose high

2.5" and youll be nose high

 

Crank them all the way up!
Don't pay any attention to the knuckle heads that whine about the ride.
The speed bump bounce is equal between the two axles.
And the leveled,balance look is sharp!

 

x2, all the pics of 2.5" front, TSB rear I've seen are nose-high.

 

I vote 1.75 setting as well. 2.5 will be nose high. My truck isn't nose high at 2.5, but I have an AAL with more lift than the TSB AAL. Also, at 1.75 you shouldn't have any trouble keeping your alignment in specs. I'm at 2.5 and I need new UCAs because I can't get enough caster on the passenger side.

 

Does it really matter? These are adjustable. Keep it level then crank it down if or when the rear settles..

 

Park on level ground and put your jack under the front and raise it to the various settings. Then you'll see how it'll look.

For me 0.85 plus TSB gave a very slight rake and with weight in the bed it's level.

 

What might matter more here is if you go 2.5, you'll most likely need UCAs to get the caster to tolerable setting or have twitchy sketchy handling on uneven surfaces or grooves in the road or when it's windy. I'd say go 1.75 in your case if you want a little rake and not need more parts to make it drive right....and it's a bit of a hop to get in set on 2.5 with 32" tires and no step rails if that matters, I don't mind it myself and don't haul stuff or tow often enough for nose high when loaded to matter. Mine has 1.25" of rake with 1.5 AAL on 3 leaf pack and front set on 2.5 with the LR UCAs to have caster correct..........and if you are 4x4 you may have vibe issues if going to 2.5.

 

Yeah but it's a pain to take them off, re-compress the springs, adjust, put them back on, and get an alignment. Better to get it right the first time.

 

1.75 with tsb is just about perfect level on my 4x4 dc or.

I'm at 22" center hub to fender in the front and 22.5" on the rears.

1.75" is the way to go
