Missfires, Hangfires and Squibs are "common" on the Russian and Chinese ammo. Lol especially the old stuff.
Get the occasional "proof load" one too. Those give you a pucker factor lol.

Lol never rapid fire that stuff. (as you probably already know)

I had the "pleasure" of being on a range when a ruger-min-14 had a squib, blew the breach and magazine right out of the rifle and the barrel was all bulged,
went off with one hell of a bang.
He got lucky and just had powder burns all over his hands and face, if he wasn't wearing safety glasses it would have been a different scenario.

Yep, when adrenaline hits it's amazing what you don't feel.

For some good news, the heat from the explosion should have disinfected it so your risk of infection is lower.

Keep an eye out for it feeling hot over the area, pain level increasing, pain when moving your fingers, pus coming out of the wound and increased swelling.

Blood check for lead is also a prudent idea in a month or so.

It got infected, probably because of all the powder under my skin. Hand swoll up and had antibiotics. I need to dig to find a pic of the injury. Now its healed, no real pain, but when I hit my hand on the right spot, I get the uncontrollable urge to shit my pants

I'll post some pics of the injury when I find them. Alot of things lead up to what happened.
    1) shit ammo resulting in a dud
    2) extractor failed to extract dud
    3) failure to check empty chamber prior to loading another round

I can see your grandkids saying to each other some day
(Don't pull this Grandpa's finger, he don't fart like the other one does)

Glad you didn't get sepsis or it nicked/cut a tendon, those suck.

They should have given you antibiotics right away... SOP for injuries like that.

Ok so now your saying that #sshole has done it again, posted a picture of a box and walked away.

Well so I don't get Slaviks farting in my sliding window, I'll post the contents quicker this time...

Which one, the picture, the toe or the nail?
