These are great and the Magnetic Base is strong as hell. When fully charged they last can make it through my 10 hour work day without an issue.

 

I've had many flashlights in my day, and this has been the best. $35, heavy, bright, adjustable and rechargable. Wand lights for automotive work are awesome. the ability to put this down between the inner fender and engine makes sight on the object much better and less shadows. It's a good light.

I assume that's the wall control metal pegboard?

Not sure if you're aware already but there's a great place to get accessories (and the pegboard) for cheap: https://cheappegboard.com/ The "scratch and dent" stuff I've ordered looks basically brand new, maybe some minor flaws in the finish but nothing significant at all. I can't imagine paying full price if you can get the blems from cheappegboard.

 

Yes sir its the wall control board. I didnt want to pay the premium, and my father in law wanted to ridicule me for it, but I got it anyway since I like the color matching with the toolbox. When FIL got his hands on it and saw the quality of the board.

Ill def check that out, thank you. Wallcontrol sells some stuff, but ill be $75-100 into accessories before I know it.

Mounting a cabinet on the left hand side soon too. Not sure whether to build or buy a metal one.

 

I have a couple of the husky metal wall cabinets from home depot and don't regret them at all.

 

Funny you should say that, since thats just about exactly what I was looking at doing. Theyre black too, and just the right width on this build.

 

I used to do pegboard but removed it. I can send you all of my pegs if you PM me. I just found them the other day when cleaning the garage.

 

This has been my goto worklight. Plenty bright and magnetizes so handy for sticking wherever you want on the truck when you're working on things.
Cheap and you can replace the battery with another 18650 when it dies and have one ready to changeout. Also charges via usb on the light itself.

Can sometimes find it on sale for like $20 to $25 I think too

 

1st week at the new job. Snap-On on Mondays, Matco on Wednesdays and Cornwell on Fridays.
I thought Cornwell was going to be a lot cheaper. Nope.

Still going to buy stuff from HF and Amazon.

No Mac truck at your shop?
I've found the slight savings from buying Cornwell instead of Snap On or Mac to not be worth it, rusting hand tools, electrical tools failing right out of warranty, screwdriver tips breaking off.
I would rather Husky over Cornwell when comparing price and quality.

 

Maybe your battery is bad, or the add is flase, but it say 2 hours on high and 9 on low.

I have this one and one other similar. It has 4 modes. On low, the batteries (2 x 3.7V) go for hours. They hold a charge really well too. They can be in the garage for several months and when I put them in the charger, they are only down 1 bar out of 5.

I typed that wrong, Mac not Matco. I have the Cornwell sale flyer in front of me.
My tools were in my storage unit as I haven't worked on cars in a bit. It's funny that most of the Matco sockets have a good amount of rust on them but the Craftsman sockets have none.

As a side note, the new jobs shop is air conditioned.

I was never a "one tool guy" buyer. I did like my Matco guy tho. He raced in the Miata series in SCCA and was a good dude to chat with. I think all the tools were mostly the same and if any of them shit the bed you just switched it when he rolled in the following week. I never worked hard enough to break them. LMAO

 

Mine has been great, I’ve had it for almost two years now I think. Still going strong.

 

So…. I redid my workbench this weekend.
