2022 Tacoma Discussion (Canadian edition)

Got an Email from my salesman. My 2022 TRD OR DCSB in MGM will be at the dealership this evening (22 Apr). Ordered it on 17 Dec 2021.

Still need to wait on PDI and the finance paperwork to be drawn up so I won't receive it until next week but I'll be sure to post a picture when I do take pocession.

 

I guess we were on similar time lines. I think I ordered mine around the 22nd of Dec. The build date on the door jamb says 3/22. It's not as fresh as my 2020 was. It's build was 11/2019 and I bought it Nov 19th 2019.

Yeah our dates have lined up from the get go it appears. I'm pretty excited to pick this beast up

 

I'm having the dealer install predator steps and power tailgate lock.i installed both on my 2020 but apparently if dealer installs them you get 3yr factory warranty. I'm also thinking about replacing the painted front bumper balance with a black one.

 

I got my tailgate lock and installed for free. That’s the only deal I got. I also got the 3 year if we install it line, but they charge $200 to install the tailgate lock btw and not sure on the side steps.

 

I was mostly concerned with the longevity of the predators and our salty winter roads. The predators I have on my 2020 survived one winter unscathed. The aftermarket ones I had previously didn't last the winter before they were chipped and corroded.

 

@Northern Taco ..thanks for the heads up yesterday that my truck was here. I was just on my way out of town for the pm. It was good to check it out while the dealership was still open.

 

I was driving by and saw the car carrier, and it had a smorgasbord of bands, so I figured it was a used vehicle shipment, but on a double take I saw yours hidden in there.

There was another car carrier leaving yesterday but I didn’t see anything new on the side lot

I ordered mine back in Oct 2021 and had it just show up in early April, also built 3/22!

 

Not much of a picture but here's the new 2022 TRD OR. Ordered on 17 Dec 2021 picking up on 26 Apr 2022.

It's getting it's PDI done and I take pocession on Tuesday. There is light at the end of the tunnel lol

 

Wondering if anyone has replaced the oem halogen headlights with oem led headlights like the ones on the Pro or Limited Nightshade? If so,are there any deals to be had from any Canadian dealers?

 

Do none of the 2022/21 models come with remote tailgate locks from the factory? That's one thing I'd like to get added to mine, might have to chat to the dealer.

 

Not in Canada at least.

Mine did not. It was a dealer installed option.

Same here, I already have the black decal for my white OR AC

 

I like the red, have the black but find it kinda bland, personal preference I guess.
