Also oils from handling, heat causing excessive strain on the coatings of the bulbs, and inaccurate life expectancy - 200 hour lifespan (actual, osram super bright premium) vs an expectation of 600 hours, etc.

It will be interesting to see if you like the retrofits better than the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade. Keep us informed!

100% I will, I’ve been super happy with the headlight upgrade! Ever since I sold my TL with ZKWR lenses and CBI D2S bulbs…I miss the cut off line, the rainbow of colours and overall performance. :)

Have you thought about a price yet? I'm guessing shipping to 37664 would be high.

Thanks so much for the great Halogen chart .

I have been using the H4 Rallye 64205s for the last 5 years or so until they all burned out .
I just received the GT200s because of the 400 hour possible life - although I hate the blue coating sopping up lumens and candela . I will see when I install them .

My hi beams ( just a car ) are medium to allow use even in the city except left turns so I use the high beams a lot .

Tempted to try methylene chloride on the blue but the tiniest residue on the bulbs will blow them quickly so maybe next time.

Would be cool to have 2000 to 2100 lumens again on Hi Beam.

If Osram knew there is is high demand for the 70/65 Rallye 2s will they do another production run ?

On my next car I will probably get factory projectors and LEDs - I see some here in Miami that shine very very far and bright with good cutoffs - best are on the trucks - the hi beams light up a parking lot ,lol.

But those 64205s were great with a lot of throw and wide both sides of road coverage .
No overheating , no harness .

Odd that Osram stopped those .

Where are you getting your retrofits from?

I'm not sure, [Edit to clarify, don't type before coffee] I think you would get better results/protection from the more typical sand off old clearcoat+hazing/crazing, clean lens, clearcoat with 2k clearcoat/outdoor uv protected polyurethane.

I've used a cerakote kit on the nanny's Corolla. It was an improvement and seems to be holding up OK at one month. I'll keep an eye on it. I also upgraded her low beams to 9012 HIR. She is happy enough.

I don't think it holds a candle to a legit sand + clearcoat but it also wasn't time consuming or difficult nor did it seem to be destructive. And it wasn't expensive either.

Bought them off of a member here. Retrofit with a set of BXBUILT LED projectors. :)

Haven’t driven with them yet but I am impressed. :) Straight from the phone, no editing.

@TegoTaco, how does the light output on those BXBuilt projectors stack up against the ultimate headlight upgrade?

To be honest, it is a big improvement over the headlight upgrade. Took it for a drive lastnight, has great distance, width, great color and cut off line is amazing! Had no intentions of upgrading but these came along for a great price and had to jump on it. :)

I've been running this upgrade for a few years now and I'm beyond satisfied, worth every penny. Thank you @crashnburn80 for putting this all together!
