Well fine then! I was missing a key. And then the other one self-destructed a few months later.

 

The keys were surprisingly easy to order. I just punched the code into google and a slew of sites came up to buy a replacement. $11 shipped for a pair of them isn't too bad.

 

Beats the $30 I paid for a new latch. It was probably better for me to replace the whole thing. Twenty years of gunk and things weren't moving so good.

What trailer brake controller did you go with in the tundy? I only step in here every now and then and missed it. Thinking of the Redarc for the taco, but have no issue going teknoshiofjgngudnssnennfj-in-in.

 

I’m fortunate enough that the tundra has an integrated controller! I’ve heard good things about redarc though.

 

Dang! guess I'm the dummy now. didn't even think of that.

Rite rite. Have used it before on my tahoe as well. Will most likely go that route again if I decide to add one to the tacoma.

I understand the confusion. People think that the Op runs the thread, but honestly he lost control at around pg 1,184. He recently git demoted 1 more spot because he stopped using his boat shoes with mid rise black socks.

It’s @Comatose old FRV’s that he gifted me, basically navy fire retardant coveralls.

 

I've been doing more in position welding stuff with like the sliders, and a coverall does seem like a really useful bit of ppe when you're getting rained on. I need to upgrade my welding jacket from the $5 walmart sweatshirts lol

 

I miss the days you would weld on cardboard boxes, wearing khaki shorts, flip flops, & an old navy tshirt 2 sizes to big for you.
