Great photos! With all the trees around I bet it sometimes takes a while to find a landing spot!

Rob you are correct. Autos are built to crumple and absorb to force of the impact to protect the passenger compartment. Simple fender bender and the vehicle is totaled.

Ribs look great. I did a chicken yesterday.

Off to have the left eye cataract removed and replaced. Hope it goes as well as the right eye.

Our pilots have been flying here for over 30 years and are really familiar with the area - there are lots of farm fields and open areas...and even back yards... to land in. It's rare that we have to tether them into a tight spot. We shift launch sites based on wind direction to give us the optimal shot at landing zones...but sometimes the winds are fickle and change mid-flight. We've actually gone in a huge circle and landed right where we took off a few times.

    Good Morning All. Happy Birthday!

Got in a nice bike ride Saturday. Humid, Rain, Overcast. Had a blast. We have some old steel bridges built in the 1890s, town of Joppa was a thriving community then. Today just a few farmhouses and the church remain, the bridge still standing but the new concrete one next to it is used by road traffic. I missed the road sign to turn! Oops. Strong wind, so enjoyed a 20 mph speed heading north, but a heck of a leg day heading into that wind and could only manage 10 mph. Red = fast, green avg, blue slow. Not bad, almost sixty miles under four hours!

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Sitting here waiting for some of that 100% chance of rain from last night through tomorrow AM. Not a sniff yet. But we get a cool front, and that will air condition the garage, so that's where I'm going again. More satisfying than repotting plants! I can actually see I have accomplished something.

Oooh! And Aaaah! Darn nice pics Col!

Thanks Tom, and hope you have a very smooth and successful procedure!

    And, Mike.....
