    Good morning everyone.

    Happy belated birthday Mike. [IMG]

Cataract removal went really well yesterday. Not as tired after the operation, the sand in eye feeling is gone this morning and no headache at all. Just keep up with the eyedrop schedule for the next month.

I must have aggravated an old side muscle problem because it is back. This is from an injury back in the 80's that flares up every now and then. Not a big problem just painful. I will use the heating pad today. Going to relax today and listen to an audio book.

Next up is a wellness physical for tomorrow in the AM.

    Rob:
I was looking at your "Our Little Shack" thread. Must have been quite a ride upgrade from the 81 to the 07 Tacoma. I think I have to cruize through the thread this week.

So glad your procedure went well. Prayers for your continued smooth recovery.
We traded the '81 pick-up on a Dodge Omni in 1986 when our 1st son was "in the oven." Family needs/expenses/overseas tour/new house kept me out of a pick-up for the next 24 yrs. Bought the '07 after retirement from active duty.

EDIT: Even with 24 years between, the '07 felt huge compared to the '81. But "Trigger will always be special as he was the first pick-up I bought on my own. Kristi nicknamed him Trigger when we got married in 1984. :)

Good to hear the surgery was a success.

My Uncle has to go for eye surgery every few years. Pin holes, from retina separating. There's something on my mom's side of the family, everyone with blue eyes has eye surgery.

    Morning all:

:annoyed: Price of oil is going up again, need to throw another bucket of coal in the coal stove which I still have fired up.
I still have lots of trees if things really get out of hand!

Good news on the eye Tom, glad that all went well.

Good Morning Carl. Wish I had my coal stove here instead of gas :(. Don't have the space for coal storage or I would have a stove. When the missus complains she is cold, I tell her to put another sweater on :angrygirl::rolleyes:. Needless to say she doesn't like that.:argue::smack:. A battle I seldom win....
Take care and have a good day Carl.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Well, all the storms at least did deposit 0.30" during the afternoon. The donut hole we're in got worse as storms intensified all around us, but all Hat; NO Cattle! Supposed to have some sprinkles this AM, and that will be it.

Stayed in the garage, and cleaned drawers, and cleaned drawers,..... Hard to tell, but every open drawer in the pic has NOTHING in it! Even the top of my original Craftsman Home box is empty! Does this mean I should get more tools? No, I spent it on organizers, which I am not regretting at all at the moment. Even found a great little Rubbermaid tray to replace Velveeta Cheese boxes. I will get more of those next WalMart run. Put things in the new organizers that came last night, clear a shelf, and then - it could be time to start the next LBR project!!

So glad the eye procedure went well Tom! Be seeing through walls like Superman by the end of the month.

Anyone notice how quiet the Birthday Boy was?

Taco got its first urban "battle damage" yesterday - thankful that participant will live......... Turning right from a stop onto busy street and run into by a 25 year old cranking along wrong way in the bike lane. Truck just moving but almost stopped - WHAM! - yoyo bounced out into the driving lane along with bike wreckage. Grant street in Tucson is busy at noon, I managed to stop traffic from killing him. If I had been in my '95 F-150 it would have killed him outright. Fire station nearby so 911 worked quickly - kid had broken nose, badly cut lip and bleeding - but no obvious broken bones according to EMT. He must have been bent over - leading with his face - and plastic truck saved him.

Truck has bent hood, busted grill and broken LH headlight - will get estimates today. Insurance hit for sure......

I ride an ebike back and forth to work. I make sure I don't do stupid stuff to put me and motorist at risk. I don't want to get injured, or dead, or mess up my bike. Use your heads people! And not for the first thing that hits a vehicle, lol.

Glad the kid, actually the adult is ok. And glad your truck wasn’t severely damaged. Even though it was 100% his fault don’t be surprised if he lawyers up and sues your insurance company. In this litigious society that’s pretty common. And don’t be surprised if your company makes a settlement with him. It’s often less costly for insurance companies to make a modest settlement even when not at fault than to fight with attorneys.

My point is to be respectful, dont be riding out in traffic and pissing people off because your going so slow and they cant get around you. And drivers also need to yield to a cyclist when they have the right of way. It goes both ways.

See that's the mayhem and chaos those innocent Maine folk around is skeered of...you need to get wrenchin' on the new racecar. Idle Tacoma Mike is a fairly dangerous force.
